Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA, connects urban residents with regional farmers. In our CSA, over seventy families visit Added Value’s Red Hook Community Farm each week to pick up their purchased share of the harvest, and some pay with sweat equity. Our CSA was the first of its kind in New York City, giving members shares of fresh produce grown in their very own neighborhood, rather than outside the City. That’s as local as you can get! We now provide over three tons of wholesome vegetables to our CSA, and it’s 100% grown by Added Value. By participating in our CSA, members improve their diet, shrink their impact on the environment, and invest in their own community’s educational programming for children and adults.
