CSA Share Holders Pick Up on Saturdays

C.S.A stand for Community Supported Agriculture. It a way farmers get to sell their produces directly to consumers. Member of the C.S.A invest in a farms harvest at the beginning of the season and receive the return on their investment throughout the summer and fall. The C.S.A offers many benefit to the Red Hook residents with healthy, fresh, affordable, convenient, and accessible to all. Member of the C.S.A will come and pick up their share vary Saturday between 9 am and 3 pm at the Red Hook farmer's market located at the New urban Landscape with Columbia /Sigourney St. the season last  24 weeks, from June 12 through November 20. The unclaimed and leftover share would be donated to a local emergency food provider. For those who would like to join this is the way to do it. C.S.A member sign an agreement with a farmer in committing to fulfill their payments and pick up their produce each week. Starting payment would be 15 dollar a week for 20 weeks. But their also a discounted share for those family that make about 30,000 a year that would start at a rate of  8 dollar a week for the rest of the season. Added value will accept payments on the behalf of Mike Rogowski a farmer. Added Value would also organize a day trip to visit Rogowski farms later the year.
