Digital Horizons Documents Seventh Annual Rooted In Community Conference in Washington, D.C.
Digital Horizons was back at the Rooted In Community conference for the second year in a row from August 4-7, 2005. Again we produced a daily newsletter for the conference, shooting photos and conducting interviews by day, and writing and laying out our newsletter far too late into the night. We also wrapped up the conference with a slide show at the closing ceremony. Our team featured the return of Elizabeth De La Cruz, Added Value/Digital Horizons Senior Youth Leader, plus Digital Horizons newcomers Denia Cuello and Christina Olivera. The newsletters were printed in the morning and distributed at breakfast to all of the conference participants. See the links to the newsletters in PDF format on the right. Thanks to everyone who helped us out this year, especially Zoe Sylvester and Hank Herrera, and Regina from City Harvest DC. We hope we did the conference proud!
